Unity Cup Final: Eric Chelle Tweaks Super Eagles Lineup for Jamaica Clash

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has largely kept faith with the team that secured victory in the Unity Cup semi-final, making just one adjustment to his starting lineup for the final against Jamaica.

The only change sees striker Rafiu Durosinmi handed a starting role ahead of Philip Otele. Durosinmi impressed after coming off the bench in Nigeria’s previous match and has now been rewarded with a place in the first eleven.

In goal, Arthur Okonkwo retains his position between the posts following a solid performance in the semi-final.

The defensive line will feature Kenneth Igboke, Igoh Ogbu, Chibuike Nwaiwu and Chibueze Oputa as Nigeria looks to keep Jamaica’s attack under control.

Chelle has also maintained the midfield trio of Tochukwu Nnadi, Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijani, with the coaching crew hoping their chemistry will provide stability and creativity in the middle of the pitch.

In attack, Durosinmi joins Femi Azeez and captain Terem Moffi as the Super Eagles chase Unity Cup glory.
