Atlético Madrid have taken to social media with a series of sarcastic posts aimed at FC Barcelona, following recent transfer rumours involving Julián Álvarez.

The Spanish club used humour and mock offers to respond to speculation, sharing fake transfer “deals” for Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Raphinha.

In one of the posts, Atletico claimed they had officially sent a “fax” to Barcelona offering a package deal for Yamal, jokingly made up of concert tickets, a magazine subscription, and a bag of sunflower seeds.

They wrote that they were waiting for a response so they could proceed with an “official announcement,” copying the popular transfer phrase often used in football media.

In another playful post about Pedri, Atletico said they had run out of tickets for one concert date and instead offered tickets for a different day as part of the supposed negotiation.

The club continued the mock campaign with Raphinha, joking that the player would arrive on loan, while Atletico would send unrelated luxury items in return, describing it as an “offer impossible to refuse.”

The posts appeared to be a reaction to recent rumours linking Julian Alvarez with a possible move to Barcelona, which reportedly frustrated the Madrid club.

The social media messages also lightly referenced popular football transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano by imitating his famous “Here we go” announcement style.
