The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced a change in schedule for the Matchday 36 fixture between Ikorodu City FC and Wikki Tourists FC, according to a statement released on Monday.

The game, which was originally fixed for Sunday, May 3, 2026, will now take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The league explained that the adjustment was made because the Lagos State Federation Cup final is scheduled to hold on the same original date at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

The NPFL confirmed that the league match will still be played at the same venue, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, but on the new date.

In its statement, the league said the change was necessary to avoid a clash of fixtures and ensure smooth organisation of both competitions.

Ikorodu City are still pushing for a historic first league title, while Wikki Tourists continue their fight to avoid relegation as the season enters its final stages.
