Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi could be on his way out of Turkish Super Lig side Beşiktaş just one year after joining the club.
Ndidi moved to Beşiktaş from Leicester City last summer in a deal worth about €8 million, but his future in Turkey now appears uncertain.
Reports from Turkish media outlet Ajanshaber suggest that clubs in Saudi Arabia are showing interest in the Nigerian midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old still has two years left on his contract, meaning Beşiktaş could demand a significant transfer fee if they decide to sell him.
Recent changes at the club may also influence his situation. Beşiktaş recently appointed Italian coach Vincenzo Italiano after parting ways with Sergen Yalçın.
It is reported that Ndidi may not fit into the new manager’s tactical plans, and the club is now open to letting him leave as they look to bring in a new defensive midfielder.
