According to figures compiled by Sportico, Ronaldo sits comfortably at the top of the earnings chart, with an estimated income of $295 million over the last 12 months before taxes and agent fees.
A large portion of the Portuguese icon’s earnings comes from his lucrative deal with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. After extending his stay with the club, Ronaldo reportedly earned around $230 million from football-related activities alone during the past season.
Beyond his club salary, the 41-year-old continues to generate huge revenue through sponsorship and endorsement agreements with major global brands such as Nike and Herbalife, adding an estimated $65 million to his annual income.
Messi follows in second place with total earnings of $140 million. The Argentine captain enjoys a balanced income stream, earning roughly $70 million from football and another $70 million from commercial partnerships and endorsement deals.
France forward Kylian Mbappé occupies third position with earnings estimated at $100 million, while Erling Haaland ranks fourth with $80 million.
