Rivers Angels striker Abasiofon Uwah has addressed the controversy surrounding the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) top scorer award following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Uwah found herself at the centre of discussions after she and Edo Queens forward Atume Doosuur both finished the campaign with 13 goals, ending the season as joint highest goal scorers.
The situation sparked debate during the award presentation ceremony when only one Golden Boot plaque was reportedly made available, creating an awkward moment between the two players.
