Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his thoughts after his team’s 2–1 friendly victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday.

The match, played at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria, saw Ronaldo feature as Portugal continued their preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

The hosts went ahead in the 23rd minute through Pedro Neto, but Nigeria responded before halftime when Akor Adams found the equaliser for Eric Chelle’s side.

In the second half, Francisco Conceição scored the decisive goal that secured the win for Portugal.

After the game, Ronaldo took to Instagram to reflect on the result and the team’s progress. He said their preparation phase is now complete and attention has fully shifted to the World Cup.

“The preparation is done. Eyes on the World Cup,” Ronaldo wrote, alongside a photo from the match against Nigeria.

Portugal will compete in Group K at the tournament, where they are set to face DR Congo, Colombia, and Uzbekistan.
