Football clubs across Turkey and North Africa have paid tribute following the death of former Nigerian striker Michael Eneramo, who passed away at the age of 40.

The ex-Super Eagles forward reportedly died on Friday morning while training in Kaduna.

Reacting to the news, Beşiktaş expressed sadness, saying they were deeply affected by his passing and extended condolences to his family and loved ones.

Sivasspor also shared a message of sympathy, describing the news as painful and praying for strength for those close to him.

Tunisian side Espérance Sportive de Tunis remembered Eneramo as a dedicated player, noting that his contributions to the club would not be forgotten.

During his playing career, Eneramo featured for top clubs including Beşiktaş, Sivasspor, and Espérance, earning recognition for his performances on the field.

He made his debut for Nigeria’s national team in 2009 and scored his first international goal against the Republic of Ireland, leaving behind a legacy in both club and international football.
