Chelsea FC have announced that four players will officially leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of June.
The Premier League side confirmed the departures while releasing its retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
Among those moving on is defender Brodi Hughes, whose long association with the club is coming to an end after spending 13 years in Chelsea’s youth system. Hughes joined the Blues as a youngster and progressed through the academy ranks before spending last season on loan with AFC Wimbledon.
Another academy graduate set to depart is Richard Olise. After a decade at the club, Olise is now preparing for a new chapter away from Stamford Bridge. During his time with Chelsea, he advanced through several youth teams and was also included in a senior squad for a European fixture during the 2024/25 season.
Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi will also leave the club after making four appearances for the first team. Having joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight, Rak-Sakyi developed into one of the club’s promising young talents and represented England at youth level. He made his senior debut in the UEFA Conference League and went on to feature several times in the competition.
The fourth player on the exit list is Jimi Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020. Although he never became a regular first-team player, he was once included in the matchday squad for a major domestic cup final and remained highly regarded within the academy setup.
The departures mark the end of an era for the quartet, all of whom spent significant periods developing through Chelsea’s academy system before reaching different stages of the club’s senior structure.
