The Osun State Police Command has announced the dates for the written examination for its ongoing recruitment exercise, fixing it for April 28 to 30, 2026 for qualified applicants across the state.
This information was made public in a statement released on Saturday in Osogbo by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi.
According to the statement, the exercise is being organised by the Police Service Commission (PSC) in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force.
It explained that candidates from Osun State will sit for the examination at Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Oke-Baale Campus.
The command stated that only applicants who successfully passed the physical and document verification stage will be allowed to take part in the written test.
Applicants have been advised to visit the official recruitment portal starting from April 24, 2026, to print their examination slip, which contains important details such as venue and time.
The statement confirmed that the PSC has officially scheduled April 28 to 30, 2026 for candidates seeking enlistment as Police Constables.
It also directed candidates who were earlier assigned April 27 to check the portal again due to changes in the timetable.
Those who have not received any notification were also advised to log in to the website and print their examination invitation letters.
The Commission further listed items required for the exam, including a pen, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, printed invitation card, and a dress code of white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.
It warned applicants to be careful of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is completely free of charge.
The statement added that any form of payment demand, job scams, or illegal recruitment activity will be treated as a criminal offence and punished accordingly.
