Kano Pillars have announced that eight players will be leaving the club after their contracts came to an end following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 football season.
The Nigeria Premier Football League side confirmed the departures in an official statement released on Monday through its Media and Communications Department.
The players leaving the club are Muhammad Galadima, Ugochukwu Gabriel, Zahraddeen Bello, Williams Ayuba, Bernard Ovoke, Christian Izuchukwu, Sudais Ali Baba and Aliyu Yakubu.
According to the club, the players are exiting after completing the terms of their contracts, bringing their time with the Kano-based side to a close.
Kano Pillars praised the departing players for their dedication, hard work and professionalism during their stay at the club. The management acknowledged the role each player played and thanked them for their contributions on and off the pitch.
The club noted that the players had served the team with commitment and helped strengthen the “Sai Masu Gida” squad during their respective spells.
In its farewell message, Kano Pillars wished all eight players success in the next stage of their careers and expressed confidence that they would continue to excel wherever they move next.
The club also emphasized that the departing stars will always be remembered for their service and remain an important part of Kano Pillars’ history.
Management, coaching staff, employees and supporters of the club joined in appreciating the players and thanked them for their efforts while representing one of Nigeria’s most successful football teams.
With the departures confirmed, Kano Pillars are expected to continue preparations for the new season as they reshape their squad ahead of future competitions.
