The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed strong confidence that the party will retain power in Ekiti State, pointing to Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s achievements and growing popularity among residents.
Yilwatda shared his views after participating in the APC’s grand campaign rally held in Ekiti State on Tuesday. The event was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, members of the party’s National Working Committee and other key political figures.
According to him, the massive crowd that turned out for the rally was a clear indication that many residents are satisfied with Oyebanji’s leadership and are ready to support him for another term in office.
The APC chairman stated that the governor has delivered meaningful projects and programmes that have positively impacted the lives of the people since assuming office.
He highlighted improvements in road infrastructure, saying several roads have been built and repaired to boost transportation, connect communities and support economic activities across the state.
Yilwatda also praised the administration’s efforts in the education sector, noting that investments made in schools and human development initiatives have created better opportunities for students and young people.
He maintained that the governor’s achievements are visible across different parts of Ekiti, making it easier for voters to assess his performance.
According to him, the level of support shown during the campaign rally reflects the trust and confidence many residents have in the governor’s ability to continue delivering good governance.
Yilwatda added that the APC is optimistic about the outcome of the election because of Oyebanji’s record in office and the strong connection he has built with the people.
He stressed that the governor’s performance, rather than political rhetoric, is what has earned him widespread acceptance across the state ahead of the governorship poll.
