Nigerian singer and songwriter Bloody Civilian has opened up about her personal views on marriage, revealing that it is not something she currently sees in her future plans.

The artiste, whose real name is Emoseh Khamofu, shared the thoughts during a recent appearance on the Not Just On podcast, where she spoke about how her music career has shaped her outlook on life and influenced many of her beliefs.

According to the Taraba-born singer, becoming an entertainer has exposed her to different experiences and perspectives, causing her to rethink some of the traditional expectations she grew up with.

She explained that while her family still holds certain cultural values, especially regarding the role of women, she does not necessarily share all of those views anymore.

Bloody Civilian noted that one issue that frequently comes up in conversations with her family is marriage, a topic she says she is not interested in pursuing at the moment.

The 26-year-old singer disclosed that relatives often ask when she plans to settle down, but she has repeatedly made it clear that marriage is not currently among her priorities.

She said many of the expectations placed on women in her environment do not align with her personal goals and aspirations.

According to her, the pressure from family members continues despite her efforts to explain that she is focused on other aspects of her life and career.

The singer added that her journey as an artiste has given her a broader perspective, allowing her to make decisions based on what she truly wants rather than what society expects of her.
