Sporting Lagos have been crowned winners of the 2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four tournament, DAILY POST reports.
Jeffrey Butler’s team secured the championship even after a narrow 1-0 defeat to city rivals Inter Lagos in their final match played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Friday night.
Both Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos ended the competition with six points each, but Sporting Lagos were declared champions based on superior goal difference.
Despite the loss, Sporting Lagos finished top of the standings and were rewarded with a ₦10 million cash prize along with the championship trophy.
In the other match of the day, Ranchers Bees secured third place after a strong 3-0 victory over Doma United.
Inter Lagos, Ranchers Bees, and Doma United all received ₦2 million each as part of their participation rewards.
