Wizkid has achieved another major milestone in his music career after becoming the first African artiste to surpass 11 billion streams on Spotify across all credits.
The achievement was announced on Tuesday by music statistics platform ChartsAfrica, which celebrated the Afrobeats star for setting a new record in African music history.
In a post shared on X, the platform described Wizkid as a global music powerhouse and highlighted his dominance on Spotify over the years.
According to ChartsAfrica, Wizkid is now the first African artiste to hit every major streaming milestone on Spotify, including the latest 11 billion streams record.
The achievement comes just days after the release of “State of Mind,” his new collaboration with DJ Tunez, which dropped on May 15, 2026.
The song recorded an impressive debut on Spotify, generating more than 685,000 streams globally within its first day of release.
Wizkid’s latest milestone further strengthens his position as one of Africa’s most successful and internationally recognised music stars.
