Seun Kuti says his disagreement with Wizkid is permanent, rules out reconciliation
Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has said he does not see any possibility of making peace with Afrobeats star Wizkid, insisting that their disagreement will last for life.
The tension between both artists began after Wizkid made comments suggesting he was greater than Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. This came after Seun Kuti had earlier warned fans against comparing Wizkid to his late father.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Seun Kuti was asked if he had resolved his issues with Wizkid.
He made it clear that there has been no reconciliation and said the matter is not something that can easily be settled.
According to him, disrespect toward his late father is something he cannot overlook.
He said once such comments are made, there is no going back, adding that the conflict is “for life.”
Seun Kuti maintained that while he has nothing else to say about Wizkid, the disagreement remains permanent because of the way his family name was involved.
