President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), cannot be compared with the president.
Onanuga stated that Obi is not on the same political level as Tinubu, arguing that he has not shown enough originality in his ideas or leadership style.
In a post shared on X, the presidential aide also accused the former Anambra State governor of failing to demonstrate strong and effective leadership.
He wrote that Peter Obi has not shown “original or genuine thinking” and said Nigeria needs a leader who can think deeply and take bold action beyond ordinary expectations.
Onanuga further insisted that Obi is not as strong as President Tinubu politically, adding that both leaders are not in the same category when it comes to leadership capacity and performance.
