2027: Isaac Fayose declares strong support for Peter Obi, says he will follow him anywhere
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has reaffirmed his loyalty to former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, saying he remains committed to supporting him regardless of political changes.
Fayose made the statement in a video shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, where he reacted to recent criticism over political movements involving Obi.
Reports indicate that Peter Obi and former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso recently left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), a move that has sparked political reactions across the country.
Some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress criticised the move, accusing opposition politicians of frequently changing parties.
Reacting to the development, Isaac Fayose said his support for Peter Obi is personal and unwavering, adding that he is ready to follow him into any political platform he chooses.
He argued that politicians in power have also moved between parties in the past, saying there is no difference when others do the same.
Fayose also questioned the ruling party’s criticism, pointing out that despite its political strength, it still engages with other parties.
He maintained that his belief in Peter Obi is strong, stressing that his loyalty is not tied to any political structure but to the individual himself.
