The Nigeria Police Force in Katsina State has warned all applicants taking part in the upcoming constable recruitment exam to follow official instructions carefully and stay alert to scammers.

The warning was issued by the Commissioner of Police, Ali Umar-Fage, through a statement released on Sunday by the police spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu.

He confirmed that the nationwide recruitment examination will hold from April 28 to April 30 in Katsina State, with the venue fixed at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic.

According to him, only candidates who passed the earlier physical and document screening exercise will be allowed to sit for the exam.

Applicants have been instructed to visit the official recruitment portal starting from April 24 to print their coloured exam slips. The slip will show each candidate’s assigned date, time, and exam centre.

The police commissioner also said candidates must come to the venue with their printed invitation slip, a valid National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and a writing pen.

He added that the approved dress code for the examination is a plain white T-shirt, white shorts, and white canvas shoes.

Umar-Fage also reminded the public that the recruitment process is completely free, warning applicants not to pay money to anyone claiming to offer help or special placement.

He stressed that anyone caught involved in fraud or extortion will face strict legal action.

Candidates were further advised to follow the time stated on their exam slips, arrive early at their centres, and behave orderly throughout the exercise to avoid disqualification.
