Former Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that Croatia will be the team he supports at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aside from his native Sweden.
The football icon made the comment during an appearance on Fox Sports, where he shared his thoughts on the World Cup groups and highlighted Group L as the most interesting group for him.
According to Ibrahimovic, Croatia stands out as the team he will be cheering for during the tournament. He also spoke highly of England’s chances and praised Ghana for having a number of talented players capable of making an impact.
The former AC Milan, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain forward believes Ghana could spring a few surprises in the group and challenge some of the stronger teams.
Speaking about Panama, Ibrahimovic suggested that they could face a difficult campaign against their more experienced opponents. He predicted that England and Croatia would be among the favourites to dominate the group, while Ghana could also emerge as a strong contender.
