The Lagos State Government has appointed Dr. Saliu Olugbenga Oseni as the new Medical Director of Gbagada General Hospital in a move aimed at improving healthcare services across state-owned hospitals.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement released by the Lagos State Government, which also announced that the hospital’s management and staff had officially received the new medical director following the retirement of his predecessor, Dr. Babafemi Olusegun.
Before taking over the new role, Dr. Oseni worked at General Hospital, Isolo, where he earned recognition for his leadership skills, professionalism, and commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
According to the hospital management, his appointment is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards and improve medical services in public healthcare institutions across Lagos.
The management expressed confidence in his ability to continue the progress achieved under the former medical director while introducing new ideas to strengthen healthcare delivery at the hospital.
