Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has said the state will continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the country moves toward the 2027 general elections, reaffirming its loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made the statement during a unity rally organised by the APC at Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi, where party members from all 21 local government areas gathered in large numbers.

Governor Idris said the strong turnout showed that the APC still enjoys wide support across the state. He added that Kebbi remains committed to the party’s leadership as preparations for the 2027 elections begin to take shape.

He also pointed to ongoing federal projects in the state as one of the reasons for the continued support for President Tinubu’s administration.

The event was attended by top party figures, including lawmakers at both national and state levels, as well as former governors such as Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Usman Nasamu Dakingari.

Earlier in the programme, the APC State Chairman, Kana Zuru, and the Women Leader, Aishatu Abubakar Gunabi, said the party in Kebbi remains united and urged elected officials to focus on delivering better services to the people.

The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Mohammed Argungu, also expressed confidence in the party’s strength in Kebbi, saying its strong presence at the grassroots level would work in its favour.
