Chelsea have confirmed that four of their players will be leaving the club when their contracts run out at the end of June.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the West London club said Brodi Hughes, Richard Olise, Jimi Tauriainen, and Sam Rak-Sakyi will all depart Stamford Bridge.
Hughes, who plays in defence, has been with Chelsea since he was just eight years old. He has spent 13 years coming through the club’s youth system at Cobham.
Olise also joined the academy at a very young age, starting from Under-9 level. He worked his way through all the youth teams and was even included in the senior squad for the UEFA Conference League match against Astana in the 2024/25 season.
Tauriainen arrived in 2020 and came close to first-team action, as he was named among the substitutes for Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final clash with Liverpool in 2024.
Rak-Sakyi joined the academy when he was eight and went on to make four appearances for the senior team before his departure was confirmed.
