Ekiti 2026: Isaac Fayose Vows Return to Nigeria, Fires Fresh Warning at Oyebanji [VIDEO]

Nigerian businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has announced plans to return to Nigeria from Australia ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State scheduled for June 20.

Fayose, who has spent some time abroad following the loss of his wife, said he is determined to be present in Ekiti as political activities gather momentum ahead of the poll.

In a video shared on his official Facebook page, he declared that he would arrive in Nigeria before the election and actively participate in the political process.

The businessman used the opportunity to criticise the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, claiming that residents of the state are ready for a change in leadership.

According to him, many voters are dissatisfied with the current situation in the state and may decide to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the ballot box.

Fayose also dismissed suggestions that he would be intimidated or prevented from returning to the country, insisting that he has no fear of political pressure or opposition.

He recalled a previous visit to Nigeria, claiming that despite warnings and threats from critics, he was able to move freely without any issues.

The outspoken businessman further urged residents not to sell their votes during the election, stressing that their decisions at the polls would shape the future of the state.

He maintained that the coming election presents an opportunity for voters to make their voices heard and determine the direction they want Ekiti State to take.

His comments have since generated reactions on social media, with supporters and critics debating his remarks as political activities continue to intensify ahead of the governorship contest.
