Bayelsa West Senator, Henry Seriake Dickson, has described former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso as two of the most influential political figures in Nigeria today.
He made the remark on Sunday while receiving both politicians at the office of the Nigerian Democratic Congress ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Dickson, who is also a former governor of Bayelsa State, said their visit marked an important moment for the growing political movement, noting that their presence alone attracted strong public attention even without any organised crowd.
He explained that both Obi and Kwankwaso have strong public support across the country, saying their influence was visible in the level of excitement that surrounded their arrival.
According to him, the two leaders represent large followings in Nigerian politics and naturally draw attention wherever they go.
He also used the opportunity to present the NDC as a fast-growing political platform, saying the party is becoming more united and positioning itself as a credible option in the country’s political space.
