Nigerian rapper Olamide has opened up about why he often feels nervous before going on stage to perform.

Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the “Baddo” hitmaker said his fear comes from unpleasant experiences he has had during live shows in the past.

He explained that in some performances, things have gone wrong when fans got too close, with incidents where people tried to grab his chain or take his hat while he was on stage.

According to him, those moments were frightening and have made him more cautious and anxious whenever he is about to perform in front of a crowd.

He said the unpredictability of live events is what affects him the most, as he never knows what might happen once he steps on stage.

In his words, he noted that these past experiences are the reason he still feels nervous each time he is about to perform for his audience.
