Residents of Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the ongoing road construction projects in satellite communities, carried out by the FCT Administration under the leadership of Minister Nyesom Wike.
Speaking during an inspection of the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, popularly known as Arab Road, on Friday, a resident, Prosper Onyenaucheya, commended the government for focusing on projects that directly benefit everyday people.
During the visit, Wike expressed satisfaction with the speed and quality of work across several road projects, including those in Karu township, the Apo–Karshi Road, and the Kubwa–Gbazango route. He noted that many of these projects are expected to be completed and officially opened as part of activities marking the third anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration.
The minister also assured residents that the government will continue to expand road networks across the FCT while working to make Abuja cleaner and more organized through ongoing development and urban renewal efforts.
Onyenaucheya, while addressing the minister, appreciated the fast pace of the construction work, saying the impact is already being felt in the community. He added that the projects have improved the image of the current administration and expressed confidence in its performance.
Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Wike confirmed that the Karu township roads are among the projects scheduled for commissioning during the anniversary celebrations.
He also praised Abdul Val Nigeria Ltd, the company handling the Karu Road project from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction. According to him, the quality of work shows that local contractors can deliver excellent results when given the opportunity.
On the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, Wike said the contractor has given assurance that the project will be completed on time and is also expected to be commissioned in June this year.
