Four New NPFL Clubs Set for League Orientation Workshop

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has concluded plans to hold an orientation programme for the four clubs that recently earned promotion to the top division ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The one-day event will bring together Sporting Lagos, Doma United, Ranchers Bees and Inter Lagos as they prepare for life in Nigeria’s elite football league.

The workshop is scheduled for June 26, 2026, and is expected to help the newly promoted teams gain a better understanding of the league’s structure and operational requirements.

NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, congratulated the clubs on their achievement and said the programme was designed to familiarize them with the expectations and standards of the country’s top-flight competition.

According to him, the seminar will provide club officials with important information on how the league operates and what is required to participate successfully in the NPFL.

Each club is expected to be represented by two senior officials, including individuals occupying key leadership positions within their organizations.

The interactive session will also allow participants to raise questions and seek explanations on any areas they may find unclear.

During the programme, the league body will educate the clubs on its regulations, operational framework and club licensing requirements. Discussions will also cover financial management, contractual obligations, infrastructure standards and administrative responsibilities.

The workshop is the first of several activities planned by the NPFL as preparations continue for the kickoff of the 2026/27 football season.
