The South-South youth leadership of the All Progressives Congress has begun strategic meetings and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections as part of plans to strengthen support for President Bola Tinubu and the party across the region.

This was made known in a statement signed by the APC South-South Youth Leader, Avwomakpotor Uhrorho, after a courtesy visit to the Akwa Ibom chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

According to Uhrorho, the party is focusing on identifying influential grassroots leaders who can connect with young people and help build stronger political support for the APC in the South-South.

He explained that the party needs trusted and widely accepted leaders with the experience, credibility, and mobilisation strength required to engage youths effectively ahead of the next elections.

Uhrorho added that the APC youth wing is ready to work closely with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to deepen political awareness and grassroots participation in the region.

He said the visit was aimed at promoting unity, cooperation, and stronger partnerships among party supporters while advancing the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The youth leader stressed that modern elections are no longer won through intimidation or violence, but through communication, strategic engagement, and meaningful interaction with citizens, especially young people.

He also blamed misinformation on social media for creating negative public opinions about some government policies and programmes.

Speaking during the meeting, the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Obong Prince Ikim, praised the APC youth leaders for their commitment to strengthening the party in the region.

Ikim described the Renewed Hope Agenda as a practical development plan that is already producing visible results across the country.

He urged young political leaders to act as a link between the government and the people by promoting civic participation, educating the public, and communicating the achievements of the administration to grassroots communities.

According to him, youths have a major role to play in encouraging responsible political participation, national unity, peace, and sustainable development across the country.

He further advised APC youth leaders in the South-South to remain united, focused, and committed to building stronger support for the party ahead of 2027.
