Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed the trophy he would prefer his former club to win between the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal are currently in a strong position this season, with just a few important matches left as they continue their push for silverware in both competitions.

Mikel Arteta’s team still have key fixtures ahead against Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Paris Saint-Germain, with both the Premier League and Champions League titles still within reach if they finish strongly.

When asked to choose between the two major trophies, Wilshere admitted it was a difficult decision given Arsenal’s chance to win both.

Speaking to Metro UK, he explained that, growing up in England, the Premier League always held special importance for him.

He said winning the Premier League would mean a lot because it is the competition he watched closely throughout his childhood and early career.

Wilshere added that the Champions League is also a huge achievement, but he personally values the Premier League slightly more due to its emotional and local significance.

In the end, the former midfielder chose the Premier League as the trophy he would love to see Arsenal lift this season.
