Chiamaka Nnadozie, who plays for the Super Falcons, has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Season award.

Her nomination came after a standout performance for Brighton in their 1–1 draw against Liverpool in November last year.

During the match, the 25-year-old goalkeeper made a brilliant save when she tipped a long-range effort from Fuka Nagano onto the crossbar, preventing what looked like a certain goal.

The stop was so impressive that it previously earned her the WSL Save of the Month award for November 2025.

She is now in contention for the season award alongside several top goalkeepers, including Manchester City’s Ayaka Yamashita, Leicester City’s Janina Leitzig, Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar and Anneke Borbe, as well as London City Lionesses’ Elene Lete.

Nnadozie recently joined Brighton on a free transfer after leaving French side Paris FC, continuing her rise in European women’s football.
