Ivy Clears Air on Marriage to Paul Okoye, Says She Was Financially Stable Before Relationship

Ivy Ifeoma, the wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has sparked fresh reactions online after speaking about relationships, money, and women’s financial independence.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, Ivy advised single women not to make marrying a wealthy man their main life goal, saying such thinking can limit personal growth.

She explained that while marrying into money can bring comfort and opportunities, women should focus more on building their own financial stability and success.

Addressing rumours surrounding her marriage to Paul Okoye, especially claims linked to their age difference, Ivy said she was already financially successful before meeting the singer.

According to her, “This is my take on the idea of marrying a rich man and before you come for me, know that I was a millionaire before I met this man, Paul Okoye.”

She added that many women make the mistake of focusing only on wealthy partners instead of building their own income and independence.

“Marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. Why would you even make that your life target? At the end of the day, it is their money, not yours,” she said.

Ivy stressed that while marrying wealthy is a bonus, it should not be the main plan in life.

“Don’t get me wrong, marrying rich is a good advantage because it can open doors. But as a woman, focus on getting rich yourself,” she added.

She also encouraged women to invest in themselves, noting that successful and hardworking women are more attractive to ambitious partners.
