Nigerian businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has spoken about his ongoing disagreement with singer Burna Boy, claiming the tension between them is linked to his friendship with music star Davido.

In an interview on The Beat 99.9 FM, Cubana Chief Priest said his rise to success was built through apprenticeship, hard work, and years of persistence, noting that success often comes with jealousy and criticism.

He explained that as he became more successful, he began to notice how differently people treat him, especially in the public space.

According to him, Burna Boy had at some point attacked him publicly on social media, making comments he described as false and aimed at undermining his wealth and reputation.

He claimed the criticism was not random but connected to his close relationship with Davido, who he says has always supported his business journey.

Cubana Chief Priest added that the situation made him feel targeted, especially because the comments were made on a large public platform.

He further said that Davido has consistently supported his ventures, including the opening of his nightclubs and restaurants, often showing up to show encouragement.

He also noted that while Davido continues to invest in entertainment and nightlife businesses in Lagos, he is working hard in music to prove himself and his critics wrong.
