Why I Said No to $1 Million Mavin Records Deal — Blaqbonez Speaks

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has explained why he turned down an offer to join Mavin Records, despite reports that the deal was worth about $1 million.

He shared the reason in a post on his official X (Twitter) page, where he opened up about his personal working style and how it influenced his decision.

According to him, one of the main reasons he refused the deal was because he does not like being very active on social media or constantly engaging with fans online, which he felt may not fit the expectations of a major record label.

Blaqbonez said he prefers to keep a low online presence, joking that he would rather post “one tweet per year” than be forced into regular fan interaction.

In his words, he suggested that his personality is more “mysterious,” adding that he values his privacy and creative independence more than online visibility.

The rapper’s comment has since sparked conversations among fans about fame, branding, and how artists manage their public image in the music industry.
