Terem Moffi has expressed strong confidence ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly against Portugal, saying he is focused on helping the Super Eagles get a positive result.
Nigeria will face Portugal on Wednesday at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria in what promises to be an exciting encounter between both teams.
This will be only the second time both nations are meeting in a friendly match. The first clash ended in a 4-0 win for Portugal.
Moffi, who has been in good form for Nigeria with two goals in his last two appearances, says he is ready to give his best for the team.
The 26-year-old striker also brings experience from Portuguese football after spending part of the 2025/26 season on loan at FC Porto, where he also won a league title.
According to him, that experience gives him a better understanding of how Portugal play and what to expect from their players.
“I will do my best to help the team as much as I can. I played in Portugal and even won the league with FC Porto, although it was just for half a season. I understand a bit about how they play and the style of their players,” Moffi told TVC News.
He added that the Super Eagles are fully focused on getting a better result this time and making Nigerians proud.
